Sclerotherapy, an effective treatment for varicose and spider veins
Varicose and spider veins could appear anywhere in the body, but are often most prominent on the lower legs. These large, dilated blood vessels are unsightly and embarrassing, and prevent a lot of people from exposing their skin, even when the weather is hot and humid.

Varicose and spider veins are often caused by poor circulation, genetics, aging, weight gain, and inactivity. They may also be caused by standing for long periods of time (common for doctors, nurses, teachers, etc.) or crossing your legs often. While the problem has solutions in the form of regular exercise, proper diet and supportive hosiery, these solutions may not work for everyone.

Sclerotherapy is generally the treatment method used for these veins by doctors including dermatologists. It is especially effective at treating smaller varicose veins. The procedure involves directly injecting the solution into the veins, causing the unnecessary, smaller veins to collapse, and rerouting the blood flow along healthier veins. The collapsed veins are then reabsorbed into near-by tissue and gradually fade within a few weeks. Sometimes, results may take longer, and continued treatment sessions may be necessary.

Although the treated veins won’t come back, new veins may appear as a natural part of the aging process. A follow-up session with your doctor after about a month will help you decide the next step.

While the primary purpose of sclerotherapy is better-looking skin, it can also improve related symptoms like aching, burning, swelling and night cramps. Side effects are minimal and often disappear within a few days. While most people can resume their normal activities almost immediately, it’s best to avoid sun exposure and strenuous exercises for at least a day or two.
Regain your youthfulness with Juvéderm family of fillers
As you age, your body begins to slow its production of collagen. Collagen is the protein that supports the skin and mucosa. It’s what gives your lips that plumpness that you love. As collagen production begins to decrease, you may notice that your lips begin losing that youthful beautiful plumpness. Other factors, besides age, that can cause a decrease or breakdown in collagen production include sun exposure, drinking from a straw over an extended period and smoking. All of these can also create creases around the lips. The vermillion border (the line between the pink and skin coloring of the lip) can begin to blur due to the vertical creases that form around the mouth.

The Juvéderm family of treatments is your proverbial magic wand to the lips you’ve always wanted. Juvéderm treatments are your ticket to softer, fuller lips with more contour and fewer lines.
